DIPLOMA PROGRAM

Under the programme, the Institute’s academic year runs from October to July every year and is divided into two semesters:

1st Semester: October-March
2nd Semester: April-July
Practical Attachment: September-October

GRADUATION / CERTIFICATION

To graduate, students are required to pass an approved course of study. This involves undertaking the approved course-work and passing mid-semester and end-of –semester examinations.

PRACTICAL TRAINING

In partial fulfillment of the requirements for the award of a Diploma, students are placed on attachment to media houses and communication-related organizations to gain practical experience for a total period of four (4) months. The attachments are done in two series – two months at the end of the First Year and another two months at the end of the Second Year.

PROJECT WORK

Every student is also expected to undertake a project work and present a 25-page Report as part of the graduation requirements.
